Supported living helps people retain their independence by being supported in their own home.
We match the service user to the property and the carer based on individual needs, ensuring that they will be able to live with other Clients who may already reside there.
We believe that everyone, regardless of disability, has the same rights and responsibilities and should be able to choose:
Who they live with (if anyone)
How they are supported and by whom
How they live their lives including choosing their own relationships
How to take part in their community
How to be healthy and safe
To ask for help to make changes in their life.
Supported living means different things to different people.
For some, it may be a few hours support a week in a rented flat, for others, around the clock support to live in a home they own, or within a shared house.
It allows for choice and control and a significant degree of independence and self-reliance, helping to build life skills and self-esteem whilst allowing access to the care they need.
